This is one of the best websites I have come across to keep me up to date on prices for what I'm looking to buy. I am building and still in the stage of waiting for council consent. As I need a stove, dishwasher, range-hood, laundry tub etc I can keep on eye on who has the cheapest in New Zealand and purchase through them. What I like about Price me is they let me know when the price drops on the items I have on my watchlist. When I am ready to purchase I can just buy at the best price available. Thanks Karinar. Hopefully you don't have to wait for the council consent too long.

 

You'll find a lot of home appliances, tools etc on PriceMe. We're kind of weak in terms of building material and services though. I wish there was a good site for sourcing/finding services (like builders etc.).   :-)

 

We're working on improving the lists and the management of price alerts. The next version of PriceMe incorporates this changes.

I have just been looking for tablets and i have to say that I wasn't able to work out which category they fell under on the home page without doing a search for tablet.  I almost think that Portable Electronics (category which includes tablets) should be renamed Tablets?

True, the categorisation is sometimes a problem for electronics and computers, and it's not easy to navigate to the target category. To be fair, this is also a problem for other sites like Trade Me.

 

Tablets is such a hot category these days that it deserves more exposure.
